Basic Life Support

Fainting, or loss of consciousness, can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Loss of consciousness is always overwhelming, whether experienced personally or witnessed. When caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure, it is not usually serious. But sometimes it can also be a sign of a life-threatening emergency. When faced with such a situation, you must be able to react quickly.
In Luxembourg, it usually takes between seven and ten minutes for paramedics to arrive. These few minutes of waiting are extremely important. In fact, every minute that passes without first aid being provided causes the chances of survival of the person concerned to drop about 10%. This means that the person can die from lack of treatment in under 20 minutes. To avoid such a situation, especially when it happens to one of your friends or relatives, there is only one solution: first aid training. It will familiarise you with the Basic Life Support procedure by teaching you, among other things, how to properly perform look, listen and feel and perform chest compressions on a dummy. In this video you will learn how to help an unconscious person.
